RUNNER-UP & BEST UI/UX AWARD, HACKHARVARD 2019

My team came in runner-up at HackHarvard's annual 36-hour hackathon over at Harvard University. 600 hackers gathered over the weekend to create technological solutions addressing issues ranging from social issues to business optimization solutions.
The theme for 2019 was "Connecting The Dots". My team's response to this was to create an augmented reality (AR) depression companion - REMY - for college students. Existing solutions towards supporting college students going through depression are insufficient - In the US, ⅔ of students suffering with mental health illnesses don’t seek treatment. REMY serves as a little AR nudging mechanism for users to better understand their health in terms of sleep, walking and eating patterns. We hope that REMY not only promotes personal wellness, but also creates a wider mental health support community to remind you that you are not alone. The Goh Chok Tong NextGen Outstanding Student Leader Award was launched in 2010 to recognise students who have demonstrated leadership in school and/or community activities, and to motivate them to further their involvement and commitment in serving their school and community.
