It was a joy to have Xi Hui at Foreword Coffee for a short summer stint and her contributions towards the company made a great difference to our team. Xi Hui is genuine with her interactions with our team comprising of people with special needs and disabilities. Over time, she gained the trust of our people and became someone they looked up to. Through her experience working with differently-abled people, Xi Hui helped to develop the first edition of our Employee Handbook. She also proactively looked out for other social entrepreneurs to speak to them and gather information to help Foreword Coffee build our foundation in Human Resource. Xi Hui is an effective communicator, relates well with others, diligent, good at making observations and providing meaningful insights, and also mature in the way she handles unexpected situations. It is not easy to work in Foreword Coffee handling both HR research and operations at the cafe - a requirement set by me for all interns - and I am glad she has had a good experience with us and that she continues to create impact and do meaningful projects within her community.
